"How to Mediate Your Litigated Case" This course will focus on the essential tools and rules required to successfully mediate the litigated case. Robert will explain the 3 rules of mediating these cases, the 3 questions you must ask in caucus, and most importantly, why you must always follow these rules, and always ask these questions. Specific, practical ideas with examples will be provided for attendees they can be incorporated immediately into his or her repertoire. Finally, the course will focus on negotiation, with specific tips as to how to get the negotiation started toward a path to settlement, and specific techniques to keep the negotiation on track. The course will be organic and interactive, focusing less on the theoretical and more on the specific ways that professional mediators help the parties achieve a settlement.

About the Instructor:

Robert Tessier is a California attorney since 1986 and a mediator since 1994. He has successfully mediated hundreds of litigated disputes in the areas of personal injury, product liability, professional negligence, real estate, business and partnership disputes, trust and estates, and Fair Debt Collection matters. He has earned the respect of his peers through an AV rating for professionalism and integrity in his practice and as a mediator with Judicate West.
